By the way, Fuerte’s counterhit in the second combo comes off Rufus’ reversal HP Galactic Tornado, but the reversal isn’t necessary. That crossup F+MK works even if you go into Training Mode and have the dummy character stand still, although it only combos if you score a counterhit jumpin.

Gief’s counterhit in the last combo comes from Rose’s Focus Attack. I’m pretty sure he’s doing close standing fierce when he lands, but it’s kinda hard to tell.

Great combos, man! Always happy to see Geif combos since, he’s just so counter combo. Fuerte is just hard for me to wrap me head around still. I never could work with that Guy, Maki style character.

onreload: Thanks dude, i’m glad you’re satisfied and i’m glad you picked Zangief cuz he ended up being pretty interesting.

The problem with El Fuerte is that you can’t go in and out of his RSF loop. Close standing fierce has too much startup so you can’t use it as combo glue. The other problem is he doesn’t have anything that can combo into lvl2 Focus Attack. He has a lot of links and stuff, but they all kinda lead nowhere.

For example, El Fuerte can do s.HK xx Run -> Tostada Press and it juggles. But how are you supposed to get to that combo? Close s.HK is so slow! He’s got a lot of stuff like this, that you can’t put into big combos.

Wow. The Gief vs. Seth combo is awesome and so is the post-mortem FAB. Excellent finds, and it’s surprising that ElF actually has less going for him than Zangief in terms of combos, even though he flies around the screen.
