Whoever comes up with the best title picks the game highlighted in the next few screenshots. As always, the rules are one entry per person and i’ll choose my favorite on Monday.
CB Mary’s Jackal cancels BIT Upward Blast into Giga Rain during Arieta’s Warlock’s air Final Sacrifice startup, as her Imitation Beta shadow starts to fade. Normally Warlock’s decoy maintains a fixed distance, but disappears by reuniting with Warlock when its timer is up. It’s possible to widen the separation by backdashing quickly as it begins to drift forward.

Fullmetal Alchemist -The game
A lot of these caption ideas are dope, especially Robot Kumite and Rolento’s Level 4 Steel Rain, but it so happens that it’s been raining like crazy out here in SoCal. So in honor of our first rains of the new decade, i’ma go with that one. Btw what does “‘One day to retirement’ in the Kingdom of Zeal” mean?
Climax: Congratulations, you get to pick the featured game for the next couple screenshots. Though it has to be emulated so i can capture lossless snapshots – preferably something on CPS1, CPS2, or SNK’s MVS. There’s still countless games to explore on those systems, even on the Capcom side like the Darkstalkers series. If you had something else in mind though, i’m down to give it a shot.

Cool surprised i even won… anyways since i cant remember much good graphic fighters, id like to see some from dark stalkers. remembered there were some nice frames in that game :D
Cool, i’ll get started on those next week. I’ve got one more Cyberbots screenshot to post this Thursday so once that’s out of the way, i’ll see what i can find in Darkstalkers.

It’s a reference to what Lavos does in Chrono Trigger. He has a move called “Destruction Rains from the Heavens” and it results in a rather depressing set of events throughout the game. The screenshot looks pretty similar to what he does to the Floating Continent of Zeal, basically.

Whoa, that’s pretty cool. I only got about halfway through that game before it crashed and corrupted my save data, so i’m familiar with the characters but that’s about it. Thanks for the link.
