Classic Combo Challenge 03: Magneto

About time for some Marvel love, wouldn’t you say? Although i may have accidentally recorded the meanest bonus combo ever.

Magneto’s Magnetic Shockwave super causes Flying Screen and has a lengthy recovery period. It usually ends combos in decisive fashion.

Challenge: In any Marvel series game, combo three or more Magnetic Shockwaves without dizzying the dummy inbetween.

Obey standard meter limits. (If you plan on using more than the game’s default super meter maximum, make sure to disable infinite meter settings so we can see gauge levels rising and verify that you’re recharging enough extra meter during the combo.)

Make it stylish!

    Haha thanks. It could have been a lot more stylish but i totally got carried away fierce punching Iron Man in the head. Probably the angriest-looking combo i’ve ever made.

    Also i don’t know what’s up with those XSF Shockwave pillars turning dark. Is that supposed to happen or is it simply some sort of graphical emulator malfunction?

    the challenge only says 3 magnetic shockwaves in one combo. someone do this as megaman on the PSX MvC. :p

    Yup, dizzying beforehand is okay for raising dizzy limits or whatever. As long as the actual triple Magnetic Shockwave combo happens after the dizzy and doesn’t involve dizzying the opponent in the middle.

    Before anyone asks, i accepted jeremyboxdotcom‘s MvC2 triple Magneto DHC clip because he made the Shockwave spacing look cool and because i figured we may as well have one example of that solution.

    But same character teams are borderline illegal since you can’t pick them in the arcade version or in online ranked matches. So i’m probably not gonna accept any more duplicates of that bootleg triple-Magneto DHC/THC stuff. Unless of course you can do something really creative/stylish with it.
