Whoever comes up with the best title picks the game highlighted in the next few screenshots. As always, the rules are one entry per person and i’ll choose my favorite on Monday.
SFA3 A-Cammy summons M.Bison through her victory animation as V-Vega jumps over her and begins posing his Time Over loss animation. There’s nothing technically noteworthy about this scenario; i just thought it looked cool.
No way to remove time over layer?
Only if you do something that lasts forever, like a lvl3 super. You can’t make it go away faster by mashing buttons or anything like that. I tried going off the wall with Vega to kill time but it doesn’t take long enough.

Dunno, are adult-themed headlines okay? Because, honestly, that smile of Bisons and Vegas handplacement… Oh man :P
Well, adult-themed captions are okay to post here if you just want to get a laugh, but inappropriate ones are probably not gonna end up winning.
And i had to place them that close because the “Time Over” message leaves me with less than 1/5 of the screen to work with. Vega’s in that pose for about 10 frames before he takes off his mask and crushes it. It might’ve been nicer to use Vega’s draw animation where he turns around and have Vega and Cammy standing back to back, but that wasn’t an option.
Trying to pull off this scene basically left me with one working choice. I put them as far apart as possible without getting cut off by the “Time Over” sign or the edge of the screen. For the record, i don’t like how Cammy’s arm badge blends into Vega’s arm either, but again, nothing i could do.
Seriously though, you can say these things about any screenshot where anyone is anywhere near Cammy. It doesn’t look so bad in motion but literally every female in every fighting game is dressed/posed like a pin-up model.

speaking of backgrounds, it’s probably old news but has anyone noticed Mario in the construction background of SSF4?
I only noticed him today and realised how well he fits when you consider the look of the original Donkey Kong.

I guess this one was harder than it seemed. There were a lot of interesting captions, but most were way too long. That’s why i thought it was a pretty cool idea to come up with a relatively short title and then fill in the backstory separately.
ShadowXSnake: Congratulations, you get to pick the featured game for the next couple screenshots. Though it has to be emulated so i can capture lossless snapshots – preferably something on CPS1, CPS2, or SNK’s MVS.
Oh snapplejacks! I didn’t think I’d win out over all the ass-grab and conjugal titles.
To be honest, I’d really like to see MegaMan: the Power battle, but I don’t know if that would even WORK for these things. I wouldn’t mind seeing some SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos though, always a little fan favorite for me. Hugo and Dan were awesome in that thing.
I’m down to give Megaman Power Battle a try. I think i’ve only played it maybe once, but i remember thinking the magazine screenshots looked pretty cool back when it was first announced.
