Same deal as last time. Whoever comes up with the best title gets to pick the next SF4 Biweekly TACV character.

Once again, thanks to everyone for participating. This week’s finalists were: MINE!, Anything you can do, Red vs Blue, and Dodgeball.
In the end, i had to go with the Dodgeball one because it just struck me as the most cleverly descriptive phrase. We’ll have another contest like this on Thursday, but i haven’t decided what the prize will be yet.
onreload: You get to pick the featured character for my next SF4 TACV. Choose anyone you like, except Guile and obviously Ryu. Please post your decision within 48 hours so i can get started as soon as possible.

Perhaps to your dread, I’m a Zangief fan, and initially figured I’d go with that as I can’t really think of a damned thing to combo with – neither could Capcom if you remember his Hard Trials on the console version of SF4. The problem is, I’m not sure there really is much to combo with, so I wouldn’t want to choose him and get a six second video. Another toughy is El Fuerte, but again I’m not trying to be cruel here. I think his EX Habanero Dash with its armor, or OTGs off Propeller Tortilla would make better fodder for an SF4 Weirdness video.
My next thought was C. Viper due to to all the hullabaloo over her canceling normals to specials that she could feint, then linking to other moves, in the same way Makoto can. In both cases, I wasn’t sure if the idea was explored enough. I’m also kind of sick of the fireball Ultras, and there are some other characters I think have been whored out enough, in the combo vid. area.
So C. Viper is a candidate…Yes, she’s been explored, but maybe not in a full TAS style. I think Gen also has a lot of potential, with two styles and some weird attack properties (Mantis super trading, anyone?)…but personally, if you have ideas for Zangief, that would blow my mind.
Damn, four characters? That’s a lot of options. I’d love to attempt Zangief but i don’t think we know enough about the game engine to find the one advanced combo he’s bound to have. It’s probably best to leave him alone until we know all the setups.
I’ll try all three of the others starting with El Fuerte and go with whoever seems to be giving the best results.
