SF4 Combo Challenge 01: Ryu

Is this going to work? I don’t know but it’s worth a shot, right?

Normally Ryu’s Metsu Hadoken ultra inflicts 45 points of damage per hit (plus 83 points at the end). However, landing the Metsu Hadoken during a combo reduces its damage.

Challenge: Take Ryu’s fully charged Metsu Hadoken down to 5 damage per hit.

Rule #1: Start the opponent with 100% vitality and 0 stun.

Rule #2: Set S.C. Gauge to Refill but use only 4 stocks.

Sweet, two video responses already. I hope to get four or five more but even if it stops here i’d consider it a success. Thanks guys!

We’re up to ten video responses in under 24 hours. SF4 is bananas!

I remember trying to do this sort of thing with CvS2, MvC2, and SFA3 four years ago. It was like pulling teeth.

yah this was a really good idea, who could have guessed you have so many readers who can string together a combo
You should consider letting the winner pick the next chalange, so long as it’s for gief/fuerte

Sweet, welcome to the show sir.

So i’m trying to think of the next challenge, but there isn’t much to work with. I’d like to focus on Zangief and/or El Fuerte, but they don’t have anything open-ended enough. I wouldn’t want to make everyone do the same exact combo and i don’t want to have the same type of challenge every time either.

“Use two throws in one combo” sounded like a dope challenge but i doubt either of ’em can do it.
