Weekly Screenshot: Up and Atom!

Whoever comes up with the best title for this week’s screenshot gets to choose the next featured SF4 Biweekly TACV character after Chun Li and Balrog’s installment! As always, the rules are one entry per person and i’ll choose my favorite on Monday.

COTA Wolverine’s Berserker Barrage has enough startup invincibility to beat CPU Juggernaut’s Juggernaut Headcrush cleanly, but it must be initiated slightly later than shown here.

To kick off the X-Men: Children of the Atom shots, here’s a still from our Super Fireball Battle special premiered at Evo2k10. COTA Cyclops fires a barrage of s.HP and c.HP optic bullets at Sentinel’s s.MP missles, while Sentinel starts up his s.HP laser beam. Both characters are suki-canceling after every eligible attack to cut down recovery times.

MMPB Megaman releases his Plant Barrier and Protoman throws a Napalm Bomb onto one of CPU-controlled Gyroman’s propeller blades. With so many robot masters in the game, you would think there’d be more options for designing projectile constructs. Sadly, the coolest weapons are scattered across different story arcs, making certain combinations unobtainable.

MMPB Megaman Slides away while Bass Dashes head-first toward CPU-controlled Gutsman’s charge tackle. As with virtually all Mega Man games, playable characters’ palette colors are determined by their active weapon.

Weekly Screenshot: Red Ring of Death

Continuing with the Mega Man: The Power Battle screenshots, this one features one of the game’s two sub-bosses – mainly as an attempt to fill out more of the frame area.

MMPB Protoman’s fully charged air Proto Buster narrowly evades CPU-controlled Yellow Devil’s grab attempt, while Bass fires off another fully charged Bass Buster from behind. All three playable characters’ fully charged Buster shots become flashier when their health meters are down to two bars or less, but the difference is far more subdued in Megaman’s case.

Whoever comes up with the best title wins a Mayflash Max Shooter for Xbox 360. As always, the rules are one entry per person and i’ll choose my favorite on Monday.
