Everyone knew this was coming sooner or later, right? There’s no way i could stop presenting combo challenges without featuring the Capcom vs SNK series at least once. CvS2 was the first game i ever recorded anything for, and it’s still my personal favorite combo playground.
The Capcom vs SNK series abides by the traditional Street Fighter convention of throw immunity during hit stun and block stun.
Challenge: In any CvS series game, combo three different throws using any character. (Capcom vs SNK engine titles include CvS1, CvSPro, CvS2, CvS2EO, and CFE.)
Obey standard meter limits. (If you plan on using more than the game’s default super meter maximum, make sure to disable infinite meter settings so we can see gauge levels rising and verify that you’re recharging enough extra meter during the combo.)
Hard Mode: Combo four or more unique throws without dizzying the opponent.
Sorry about the generic SvC Chaos combo. I wanted to try out some ideas with O.Iori but nothing really worked. He’s definitely one of the most limited combo characters in an already basic game. But i didn’t want to postpone this challenge any longer so here we are.
Special thanks to u2b for diligently removing every single white cancel flash throughout the SvCC combo. Because being able to follow what’s going on in video games is totally overrated anyway.
SVC Chaos can’t be used for this because it’s SNK, or what?
dang, this is probably the first time i dont know a solution off the top of my head (never been good enough to record one, but i usually at least know one). i know there has to be a way outside of a-groove dan/rolento OTGs to do this, so i anxiously await the video responses.
Doopliss: Because it runs on a completely different combo engine which allows throws to connect during regular hit stun. But if anyone submits an interesting SvCC solution, i’ll probably accept it anyway.
N00b_Saib0t: I don’t know everything but i seriously doubt this challenge is solvable outside CvS2 A-Groove and possibly CFE Custom Combos. Hopefully i’m wrong about that though.
I was gonna try CFE custom combos actually, problem is I have no idea how the game works XD
1. Activate CC
2. Mash
3. ????
4. Profit!
On second thought, i think step three is redundant. Mashing is all you need. Here’s the revised formula:
1. Activate CC
2. Mash
3. Profit!
Good luck!
I noticed that you could at least mash HK with Guy all day long when I tried him.
@Maj
So good at S-Groove side-stepping the memes.
So far we’ve got half a dozen responses from two people, but no hard mode solutions yet. It’s looking promising though.
